A Reward

Well ... being brave can be rewarding. Don't you think so too? I have been learning sewing and quilting since I came here in East Texas. I never want to have anything to do with needle and thread before. I remembered my mom trying to teach how to use needle on a piece of cloth along time ago. Well ... I am more happy to read a book then playing with needle. For some reason ... I told my DH I sure love to learn how to sew and to quilt and here he is trying to find me a quilting group for me to join in. He also bought me a brand new Singer machine from Walmart. I am still using the same machine. Anyway ... talking about being brave ... yes, yesterday I finally decided to be brave enough to make me a simple tote bag. A tote bag for a multipurpose function. A tote bag for all my stuffs like note book, pen, make up bag, little purse, keys, handphone, and may be some goodies to munch. A tote bag for grocery shopping, eeemmmm yes for groceries like celery, bananas, bacon, butter, corn chips, cheese and some Hersey chocolate bar. A tote bag for books .. I read a lot of magazines so this is just perfect. Or a tote bag just for going to the Christmas Bazaar, Christmas Shopping and Downtown Market or just for anything really. Imagine that a multipurpose tote bag. My mom will be really proud of me. I wish she is here with me and I can just show her my very first sweet casual tote bag. I bet she will want it for herself. So ... I have been brave, really brave. I did all the measuring, figuring out, pocket touch ( from my my DH old pocket shirt) and all the sewing all by myself. How do you like that. Can you believe that ? Believe it! If you are brave enough to try to make a tote bag you can be brave to make another tote bag. Here it is my Multipurpose Tote Bag. I hope you like it too.
