My First HQAL
My First HQAL
I am excited to be part of this new group. New project.
I have been learning to sew and to quilt for a little while now.
Eventhought a friend told me that I am no longer consider a beginner, I am still thinking I am one. A confidant beginner may be. Yea that is like you were in the Kindergarten and now you are in your 1st grade. Awesome hah!
Well ... apart from being a beginner in sewing, I am also a beginner beginner creating my blog. Lots of mistake and lots of frustration. I do not know how this going to turn out but I hope it is going to work out nicely somehow. Most importantly I can connect with all the nice ladies at HQAL which I just joined in.
Ladies of the HQAL ... I don’t have much to show for this time.
I am making me a Pumpkin quilt. Actually I am on a pumpkin blocks swap with another group. You can see from the picture my pumpkin block wasn’t that inspiring or wow wow at all. But it is a start. We got the pattern free from someone else. They are 12 ½ finished. Fabrics are Fall colors. All the blocks are machine piece. I am so glad I improved so much in my sewing a straight lines. You go girl, I said to myself. Imagine you have to cheer oneself to get you motivated.

So I thought after I machine piece my pumpkin block I will need to hand quilt them. I am sure I need some hand quilting thread. Do you think lime green will go nicely with my bright pumpkin?
Weird huh?

I am sure I will need some pins and you can see I have been using pins alot. Oh that is my little pinchusion I made up myself. Nothing spectacular but very handy and useful pinchusion.

So ladies ... here I am ... nothing to be impressive about but nevertheless I am here wanting to be part of this awesome HQAL.
