Happiness is a vintage quilt block.

I found this vintage block at one of the thrift store.Just for a $1

I thought it is a nice vintage block.

Well... of course I wasn’t really sure if this block is vintage or not. But I am sure the fabrics and the colors on the block look vintage.Someone can tell me if this is not a vintage block at all.

You see ...

I am in this HQAL and I have been really bad with my progress. My niece came to spend Christmas and New Year with us, we have been going visiting friends and family members since she came, when we are not visiting we have been cooking and baking and just eating or sleeping, either one. Believe it or not I haven’t been touching my sewing machine for the past three weeks. I am sure missing doing little sewing but with all the things that going on ... I don’t think I have enough energy to do everything that I wanted to do.

But yes ...

I am in this HQAL and my progress haven’t been impressive at all. My niece will be leaving next week ... and hoping that my life in the sewing land will be back to normal again. Oh guess what ... she wanted to make an apron for herself. I suppose we can make the effort to make one before she leaves next week. We are going to visit my sister in law tomorrow and today we are going make some banana muffins. Oh boy oh boy ... I am sure need to do some kind detox when she leaves. Isn’t that just a typical holiday season? You eat a little bit extra because you only make your special recipes for the holiday and you only baked your special cake or bread during the holiday season.

So here we goes ... I haven’t been doing anything for the HQAL. You can see if you can accept all the excuses and excuses why I haven’t been doing any sewing the past three weeks or may be longer then that. But I found this vintage block and I thought I share it with you. Don't you love a vintage quilt block?
